RECORDING STUDIO

Want to record a demo, jingle, album? Our recording studio facilities are atmospheric, constructive and motivating!

The studio comprised of control room & vocal booth combined with knowledgeable & friendly engineers will meet your needs. Two-way communication between the rooms means that you & engineer can communicate, exchange ideas, etc. In addition, there is a snack bar & chill zone where you can sit and relax between takes.

The studio is fully loaded with the industry's finest effects including a great selection of reverbs, compressors and EQs. There is also a large selection of bizarre effects so you can be sure that we'll have whatever sound you have in mind for your recording!

Preparing for your session!

Preparation is essential for the smooth running of your session and means that you will get the most out of your valuable time in the studio. Here are a few pointers for you to bear in mind before your session:

Ensure that you know which songs you want to record and make sure you know the lyrics & song structure. Make sure you are well rehearsed and sure of how you want to present the songs you want to record, i.e. dynamics & phrasing. Sometimes nerves can get the better of you in the studio so it is often a good idea to print out the lyrics of your songs (even if you know the words) as even the most seasoned professionals forget them once they are in the unfamiliar surroundings of the Recording Studio.

Remember we offer rehearsal room space & vocal tuition…

Backing tracks are accepted in a number of formats. Please check that you have your backing tracks in the correct format. These are the following formats that we accept:

  • Audio CD
  • Karaoke CD
  • Mini Disk
  • Wav Files

If you are in any doubt as to the compatibility of your Backing tracks please contact the studio before your session so that advice can be given on your Backing track suitability.

Try to arrive at the studio on time for your session as the meter starts running at the appointed start time, and it is no fun playing catch up! Being late will only put you and the engineer under pressure, which is not the best environment for creativity.

Terms & Conditions of Bookings

Our current studio fee is £17 per hour for all time spent in the studio. This fee also applies for all work carried out on your recordings in your absence e.g. editing, post production & artwork. A one-off album fee can be negotiated with the studio to include all Recording, Editing, Production, Mastering & Artwork.

Payment must be made at the end of each session for the time spent in the studio or any time spent on your recording. If payment is made on the day of the session, then this must be paid by cash or credit/debit cards. Cheques can be used to make payments, but must be paid in advance as the studio operates on a cleared funds basis only.

Under no circumstances will work be released by the studios until all monies have been received in full.

Smoking is not permitted in either the control room or the live room and is only permitted outside, away from the building.

Food may not be consumed in either the control room or vocal booth. Food may be consumed in the chill out area. Bottled water is permitted in all rooms.

You are welcome to bring along companions for moral support. However, due to courtesy of other lessons in progress at our studios and noise levels, please do not bring more than two companions to each session at a time.

We are sorry to have to get you to read this documentation but it’s best we get all of these details out of the way first. Therefore, we can concentrate on doing our very best for you in the studio when you are paying us by the hour, rather than having to explain it all then, on your valuable time!

Please feel free to contact the studio at any time to discuss any aspects of your session or to address any concerns which you may have.
